The Forest Stewardship Council, or "FSC", provides landowners and wood products manufacturers with access to programs that promote environmental stewardship on a global basis.
To become FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certified, a manufacturer must agree to adhere to the principles and standards of the Forest Stewardship Council. Additionally, these businesses have agreed to submit to annual audits of their internal procedures to maintain a chain of custody that tracks timber from its origin through delivery to their customers.
This provides consumers with the assurance that products bearing the FSC label are derived from wood harvested from sustainably managed forests according to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council.
AMHI provides access to FSC certification programs, at discounted rates for member businesses through our partnership with the WoodNet Market Council. To learn more about this program, please contact Tom Inman at AHMI.
